Sunday Mornings
Classes for children ages 3 through 6th grade are offered during our 9am and 10:30am worship services. Care is taken to meet each age group's developmental needs with fun, Biblically relevant teaching and opportunities to build relationships with peers and adult volunteers.
We believe that it is important to equip parents to take an active role in their child's spiritual education, so our classes provide monthly take-homes. This is a useful tool as it informs parents about what is learned each week, as well as provides ways to continue learning at home.
Safety of each child is taken seriously at Irvine Presbyterian Church. We use a 2-part sticker to ensure children are picked up safely by the adult responsible for their care. When you arrive at our worship service there is a basket with stickers. Please fill one out for each child 3 years through 3rd grade before children are dismissed from worship. When you drop off your child to their teacher, you will keep half and place the other half on your child's back. Each portion has a matching number on it. When you pick up your child you must present the matching half for the teacher to release your child. For more information about child protection please click the link to the left.
Childcare (birth to 3 years)
We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment; taking care to make sure your child is always cared for by trained, loving volunteers and staff. All childcare events are led by CPR and First Aid certified staff who has also received our Child Abuse Prevention training. Childcare, including nursery & toddlers, is always provided for Sunday mornings and special worship services. It is also available at special activities by request.
